Free ecourse: Come along and dive into Inner Excavation in the free online Inner Excavate-along - all you need is a copy of my book! The course is ongoing, so you can sign up at any time. There's also a private Facebook group to connect and share your excavations. After you purchase the book, we'll send you an email explaining how to join in!

Explore the world of self-portraits! Your copy of Inner Excavation: Explore Your Self Through Photography, Poetry and Mixed Media (published by North Light Books in November 2010) will arrive signed by me (the author). When you place this in your cart, a window will appear where you can let me know if you would like me to sign it to you or someone special (just include your/their name).

My book retails for $24.95, but on my site it's a special price of $17!

More Details

When we tell our stories, we shine a light on the beauty of what is real. We heal. We dance inside joy. We find our way to laughter. We fill in the cracks that life creates in our hearts. We sit inside love and truth. We find ourselves standing tall and we give ourselves the much needed permission to rest. I believe we must sift through all that has been to find our way to all that is to come.

In Inner Excavation, I gathered up many of my favorite ways to unearth pieces of our stories using the mediums of poetry, photography, and mixed media. Through the prompts and examples in this book, you will be inspired to look inward to share your own story.

SHIPPING INFORMATION

International shipping: Before you place your order, be sure to read my shipping policies, especially if this is the first time you've ordered from a small business in the US. I love that I can package something up for you in my little studio in Tacoma, Washington and then send it across the world to you. It is kind of a miracle. But I don’t love how high the shipping costs have become, and I wish I could change that for both of us. If I'll be shipping this to you outside the US, please choose International shipping in the drop-down menu (or Canada if applicable). The price reflects an additional shipping cost that will be added onto the flat rate of $13 international shipping ($9.25 for Canada) my shop has. The price reflects the most reasonable rate for the weight of this book. If you order the book with another item and there are shipping overages, I will refund them.

All orders: If you purchase more than three copies of the book, especially for international orders, we'll contact you about any additional shipping charges we may need to collect. If you have concerns about this, or want to place a large order of books, please contact me before ordering.

A bit more about what you will find in this book (from the back cover of Inner Excavation):

"There are clues all around you - sounds, textures, memories, passions - just waiting for you to shine a light on them, and unearth the most intimate form of expression - the self-portrait. Inside Inner Excavation, author Liz Lamoreux will be your guide, along with eleven inspiring artists, as you discover more about who you are, how you got here and where you wish to go. Prompts and exercises will show you how to express who you are through the photos you take, the words you write and the art you create.

Find encouragement and fresh ideas in these pages as you:

Uncover prompts to use your senses for exploring and capturing where you are in any particular moment.

Tap into the poet's voice that's whispering inside you, even if you've never written poetry before.

Are given permission to spend time "Delving into the Quiet," being still and listening to the mindful voice inside you through meditation to create a balance in your daily moments.

Bring words and art together in self-portrait expression that is as layered as you are."

Won't you join me on this adventure?
